It's absurd on it's face. 2/3 of corporatio­ns pay NO TAXES. The proponents of the bill are saying the Wisconsin people 'subsidize the corporate interest not the not YOUR government employees'­.

Side note: It said that the rioters were infiltrated by skin heads, meaning the opposition itself may have been hijacked, and not originally anti-gay, but anti-EU. Homosexuality v. economic transitions/conditions. The Pro-EU organizers and public relations machine could be using the LGBT community to 'arouse' the opposition to it's silliest level, as bait.



The anti-EU protester/rioters may have been initially antagonized by the Gay March, yet the Pro-EU party may have set it up that way. You can be gay and anti-EU.



Gay rights is an issue that invokes vitriol and emotional reactions- thus a perfect tool to sway election in either direction. Everyone should take note of that. Ruling parties will bargain with devil to keep their power. Don't under-estimated the power of politics.

And, I love how the 'oppressed' groups push the LGBT communities of their shoulders like it hasn't a damned thing to do with them. Replace homosexuality with 'inter-racial dating'- reset yourself back 50 years in the US, what do you get? Go back 80 in Germany. Today in Saudi Arabia and Iran? Darfur? Atrocities, yes in 'other' nations, but all Americans have to do is vote for it. Look at the social complacency of the genocide of Native Americans.



Picking on the gays doesn't help black, hispanics, or any other minority groups with in the United States. Not to mention a subtle stab at Women's Rights, hidden misogyny.



Gays have the 'option' of going back in the closet, but they and I CHOSE to be real, stand out, and fight for rights despite the ridicule and heartache for all human beings.



Don't be brainwashed, the Civil Rights Movement isn't over.

Self-esteem is non-existent when living a LIE. A person living a lie is a zombie, not be trusted or cared for.



The misogynistic policies within society makes it so that you are persecuted, scapegoated, bullied and virtually destroyed if you are 'different'. The Army say's you can't have a relationship but you are required to serve honorably? The Prez says you are separate but (not really) equal. Then these children watch adults participate in the destruction of families and marriages through the legislation of Prop 8.

If your government looks down on you and unabashedly supports your classmates, religious institutions, employers, media, and adult behaviors that continue to debase something they accuse or you suspect you are, then where is this self esteem you speak of, suppose to come from?

Creating a separate 'sub'-class of marriage for non-breeding couples is just blatantly discriminatory for hetereo's, polygamists, and gays. That is a greater perversion of the constitution than allowing gay marriage. You are supporting a subtle eugenic idealism, that only the 'fit' and 'worthy' are allowed to participate and benefit in society. Others must be classified and subject to second or other class consideration upon application of the law. This is a dangerous slippery slope for everyone. Barring the 'unwanted' from equal application of rights will creates disunity and dysfunction in any nation and society.



To put it simply, what is forbidden for me will forbidden for you. Denying rights to others denies you the same. It just logical. Equal application of the law is what a civil society is about. That's a principal of a successful democracy and a true free society.



Pontificating a 'Brave New World' fear will not convince anyone. What you are talking about is evolution in human ingenuity. Your fear is based upon Western world view which has no basis in reality in the future of non-western societies. Western propaganda and fear mongering from what you say is a lot like Alex Jones.

I hail from Chicago, right from that neighborhood (79th & Maryland to be exact). These little snots had it coming. My mother told me about the days where if you were caught doing something wrong in the neighborhood by the neighbor- the neighbor had the right whip that ***. Then report you to the parents where they whipped your ***. Now, if you even blink the wrong way at a child you are going to jail.



Corporal punishment is frowned upon and downright illegal, because a few have abused it. Children can simply accuse abuse and the parents go to jail- generally speaking. Yet, they grow up with no respect for their lives nor others in many cases.



Sad thing is if we had a mature society where the neighborhood watched and cared for each other, these little tyrants wouldn't be allowed to throw a brick into a senior citizen's chest, let alone get shot for doing it. Talk about Clockwork Orange. We've abandon each for safety.
